Termidor is our product of choice for termite control. It has been extensively tested, and in test after test it has provided 100% control of termites in 3 months or less. A few reasons why we use Termidor: * Termidor is one of the most tested termite control products on the market. * Termidor has proved 100% effective in all soil types, and on all species of termites that we have here in Maryland. * Termidor doesn't leach or move from the treated site. It stays where we put it, in the termite's path to your home. * The active ingredient (Fipronil) was approved by the Environmental Protection Agency to be applied directly on puppies at a concentration nearly 200 times stronger than what we use for termites. Fipronil is topically applied to dogs & puppies at 9.7% (Front Line, Top Spot), whereas termite controllers apply it in the soil and foundations at the much lower concentration of .06%. That means that you and your family are exposed to less insecticide then when you hug your pet, yet it is more than enough to eliminate any current termite infestation AND provide long-lasting protection against any new termite infestation. |
Are you wondering why Termidor works so well? To find out you'll need to know a little bit about how termites live. They are social insects, that is they live in colonies, and they constantly help each other out by feeding and grooming one another. Fidelity Exterminating injects Termidor liquid in the soil all around the foundation of your home or business. Termidor does not repel termites, instead they readily pass through it, not knowing it is there. The liquid termiticide dries to invisible crystals and as they pass through that treated soil they ingest or pick up miniscule amounts of Termidor on their bodies. They then take it back to their colonies in the soil and begin spreading it around. The termites in the colony that have not passed through the treated zone pick up a lethal dose from those that have, and they in turn pass it on to others. Some call it the dominoe effect, we call it the "transfer effect". After termites have been exposed to Termidor they die within a few days. . Some other termiticides and all termite baits are somewhat similar in the respect that the termites feed it to each other, but only TERMIDOR is lethal by them merely contacting & grooming each other. |
